You're wrong and that's a stupid claim. Budgets don't "demand" anything, stop trying to be edgy.

Well it is and complaining that you wish it wasn't doesn't change that.

And now they're trying to make it seem like they're still doing the same amount of work!
"Hardly slept for weeks writing prompts." Like, really? If that's true they're not using it right.

Hanania has also been on an Epstein-inspired age of consent bender.

Interesting how there's so much talk about Crockett having no chance but Beto trying yet again doesn't have anyone scolding him.

Did I say anywhere that it was only infantry? I said that relying mainly on combined arms is too expensive and can be unnecessary at times. If an individual soldier can be made to hit something without needing to call support, that's good! Infantry can't do everything, but they shouldn't do nothing!

You can't say they won because of drugs then say you just think it's interesting.

Except the EU isn't country, it's a multi-national federation. That's different that a whole country.

I don't get this idea that enhancing infantry is a waste. Have you seen the costs involved with modern hardware? It is more cost effective to enable soldiers to shoot further distances. Saying they don't need to because they can airstrike their problems is absurd.

If you have optics you can make out targets further. That's why they're standard. The problem was 5.56mm rifles weren't lethal out to extended ranges. With 6.8mm rounds they can hit and be lethal.

They didn't "just get lucky." They had legitimate advantages in training, tactics, and strategy. Just handwaving that away for luck and their enemies being dumb isn't how history works.
December 7, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Fuck that book. They didn't win because they were on drugs. If drugs were so important to their victories, why did they stop issuing it? That idea is nothing but bad history and sensationalism.

The M157 optic can see and hit fine beyond 400 meters.

Artillery takes time, risks collateral damage, and many shells are needed. Missiles are too expensive to kill individuals. Drones also cost more and can be jammed/intercepted. Infantry don't need to do everything, but if they can see, hit, and kill out to 800 meters they require less support.
December 7, 2025 at 1:21 AM
Everyone who brings up the 300 meters thing doesn't realize that combat happened at that range because iron sights aren't great for long-range shooting, so soldiers waited until targets got close. Scopes are everywhere but bullets weren't made to be lethal further out. With this you can see and kill

I saw someone push back on the "no cultural impact" thing and their defense was - if people see the characters they know what movie they're from.

So, what, Ukrainians have to just suck it up and be conquered?

Ireland barely has a military and their new president openly hates NATO, so that's still a long-shot.
