We’ll never forget Jamal Khashoggi, and we advise those who care about free speech and a free press to do the same.
This is shameful behavior. Freedom of the press is and always will be one of the most important American values, one that WBNG will always uphold. A sitting president disregarding the severity of violence against journalists is despicable.

Trump defends Saudi crown prince over Khashoggi killing
The de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia was branded a pariah in 2018 after the killing of a Washington Post columnist. Now, U.S.-Saudi relations are nearing a high point.

In 2018, Trump believed Putin over the U.S. intelligence community.

Yesterday, Trump credited MBS over the U.S. intelligence community.

Khashoggi’s murder must not be brushed off as “things happen” just because he is willing to invest in America.

We must maintain our values in our foreign policy.

The House bill being voted on today to require cash bail in DC is insane.

DC hasn’t had cash bail since 1992, and crime has plummeted since.

Our current system is near identical to federal law.

People should be held pretrial if they pose a safety risk — not because they are too poor to pay bail.

I know and respect some of these legislators.

I have complicated thoughts on their message.

But when I’ve been asked about the issue of unlawful orders in interviews, I generally stress Congress’s constitutional responsibilities—including w/r/t war powers and confronting executive lawlessness.
We want to speak directly to members of the Military and the Intelligence Community.

The American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution.
