I actually think Charlie Kirk died by a fentanyl overdose. Where’s the toxicology report??? How do we know he didn’t actually have a drug induced heart attack RIGHT before the bullet hit his jugular?

All politics is local but fundamentally there is no actual national opposition party. It's been true for a minute but we have to save ourselves.
I say this not out of despair, but in a deep conviction that we must reorient our energy toward local officials and elections. That is truly the last line of defense for our communities. Real action is needed beyond hollow words of fake resistance.

Republicans fear their base. Democrats hate their base.

The Democratic Party is not one of the people, they only support capital. It is time for a purge. This party’s leadership will never fight for the people.

I’ve grown older than my brother.
Three years Ive spent thinking
on how to spend these days
If I were to ever see them.
now that they’re here,
I’m scared I’ll just keep being how I’ve been.

This article describes one of the many loopholes used in Real Estate to continue discriminatory practices like redlining and steering.

In a system that relies directly on property taxes to fund our schools, Niche can influence the property values of entire towns.
Good Strib story on those schools ratings you see on real estate listings websites. Of course the nonprofits who do the ratings try to get paid from the districts they’re rating. Minneapolis & St. Paul districts can’t/won’t play but some burbs do. www.startribune.com/minnesota-sc... (no paywall)
What’s behind the school ratings on Zillow and other real estate websites?
A home in a highly rated Minnesota school district might fetch $50,000 more. But some say those outside ratings shouldn’t matter so much.

2 games and we are the best team in the NFC. 2 games and we spend the playoffs here in Minneapolis.

Bold of the Golden Globes to still run with the tagline “HollyWood’s Biggest Party.”

Not sure that’s the imagery we are going for here

I’m convinced some folk aren’t watching these Vikings. There are generations that enjoy complaining about football than watching it. This team is something else.

Yesterday, we all were laughing at Eric Adams when he suggest that they knew the suspected killer’s name but didn’t want to release it publicly. But imagine how you would have reacted if he’d told us they were looking for Luigi Mangione.

Working class folk lose loved ones in foul play circumstances to be told by the police there is nothing they can do. This CEO gets popped and we watch a national deployment of surveillance/investigative resources. ALL HANDS ON DECK. Another example of how police serve capital, not the public.

If you live in 8, 13, 6, 4, or 3, it's time to start looking for other candidates for City Council. The Labor Standards Board was meant to be advisory, not a rule- or law-making body. Frey supported it before he opposed it. The people who voted to uphold the veto voted against working people period.
The Minneapolis City Council just failed to override Mayor Frey's veto of the Labor Standards Board.

Vote was 8-5. Needed 9 votes. Jenkins, Palmisano, Osman, Vetaw, Rainville vote no.
