⛰️山海経19: 鶉鳥。鳳凰の一種らしいのですが、字面と中国語発音のチュンチュン感がえらいcuteなのでウズラにしました。ウズラもキジ科なので鳳凰の近縁と言って良かろう。
🌊Shanhai jing 19: Chun-niao, the symbol of the emperor’s ritual tools and clothes. It seems they’re a kind of phoenix, but its kanji, 鶉 means Quail. Their name sounds so cute.

I would like to see a comparison between Tolkien and Wagner as modern myth-makers, both drawing on the Arthurian and Norse traditions and as well as the Gothic. Both successful and artistically accomplished in the execution. But why do we want that? Why can no one seem to do it again?
