Every problem we have as a country from Healthcare to transportation to infrastructure is bc white people since 1776 decided it was better to be racist than let everyone have good things
saw someone say right-wingers on SNAP are soon going to have to decide if being racist is worth being hungry, as though the entire mechanism by which fascist populism propagates isn't convincing people to vote for being hungry by enticing them with the chance to be racist

Not sure how I missed this but I'm happy for you. I learned a lot from our brief time working together. Hopefully, whatever comes next is awesome (and the down time is well spent w/family and friends lol)!
So, a bit of an announcement: I'm retiring. My last day at IGN will be Oct 1; after that I'll be a full-time dad for a bit while my kids are of an age where they'll think spending time with me is cool rather than lame. It's been a huge honor and privilege to run reviews here for the past 12.5 years.

Getting older is recognizing that just because you found a loophole/a way to cope, doesn't mean that a game mechanic isn't poorly designed.

I think I got more rejection emails this past month than I did in all of 2024. It's wild (sad) out here.
Finding any freelance work right now feels like remembering a cool thing you had in your closet, spending a day looking for it, and just giving up entirely eventually.

These companies think that paying off the President will redirect his ire, but by conceding an inch now, they’ll be giving up a mile later. YouTube and Disney seem to think that these moves will satisfy him, but this is just the administration testing how pliable they are for future reference.
