Jon Stewart is incredible tonight. I mean, he’s never not good, but this is him in top form.
A while back my Steam Deck fell just a couple of feet (the bag it was in fell over) and the L1 shoulder button stopped working. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on how to fix it, got my soldering iron all set to go, and opened it up... only to find that the part is super busted and not fixable.

My 10-year-old is getting *deep* into Mewgenics (with the cat sex turned down). It’s really fun having him run into the room to tell me about the combos he had during his run.

Finished up Fallout season 2. I sure like their confidence that there will be a season 3!
Overall, really good stuff. They’re doing a good job of keeping mostly within the lore and also telling a stand-alone story.

It's entirely coincidental but fitting that Mewgenics is coming out on almost exactly the 10-year anniversary of XCOM 2's launch (which was yesterday). We're still waiting on news of XCOM 3, but at least the genre Firaxis reinvigorated is still going super strong in its absence.

Dang - Bugonia sure was a lot of different movies all packed into one. There's some good "Wait, am I meant to be laughing at this?" moments in there, and Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons do a great job with it.

My son and his friends are learning about keeping bees in Minecraft but he hasn’t seen Arrested Development so he doesn’t get any of my “They don’t let you have bees in here” and “Beads?” references.

If today doesn’t convince people that something is very very wrong with what’s happening in the US government they are lost, because nothing will until they’re personally victimized. By then it’ll be far too late.

One of the best features of modern consoles for parents is the ability to abruptly turn them off after repeated ignored warnings that it's time to leave without fear of costing your kid several hours of progress and racking up future therapy bills.
