The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Some inspiration from the graduate Education Policy class I'm in this semester. When you advocate to legislators, remember to tell a STORY. You don't change minds based on facts. You *may* change minds when they can visualize why a policy is good or bad by connecting with your story. #indivisible

This commission statement refers to people with Autism, ADHD, asthma, auto-immune disease, and chronic illness as a “dire threat to the American people and our way of life”.

This is a manifesto against disability.

This is the language of eugenics.

Living through the fall of a civilization is confusing, stressful, and upsetting for someone like me with my many privileges. For my friends in the disability and LGBTQAI+ communities, it is abso-fucking-lutely terrifying.
so special ed programs are getting gutted because their internal documentation used the term "transition" when talking about helping disabled kids enter the working world. they're literally striking at that word wherever they see it.

Disappointed that @governorwalz.mn.gov would propose cuts to disability services, especially since he is on a first name basis with my nephew, @justinsmithwrites.bsky.social.
I feel like I'm in a horror movie and it’s not going to end well for me or others with disabilities. Here are the services currently under threat that I need to live my life:
SSI, Medicaid, SNAP & a Section 8 housing voucher.

In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here.
