What the hell is "pitch-roll" and which idiot Government advisor came up with it? They don't even speak our language, let alone understand our needs!

Utterly appalling by the BBC.
I am generally a big fan of the BBC - but this is a truly terrible 'both sides' *push notification* to send out to people in this country about this news event

I have become the ‘IT Hub’ for three of my elderly neighbours. So much essential stuff now has to be done on-line. There seems to be an assumption that all elderly people have family or someone like me to step in. I am sure that isn’t the case
If you’ve ever helped an elderly neighbour navigate a banking app, call a helpline or read a tiny screen – you’ve witnessed digital exclusion first-hand. We must stop designing customer service systems that exclude.

Stay young – the online world isn’t designed for the old
Technology should empower, not exclude. For many, ageing means lost independence in a digital online world built without them in mind

If this doesn’t alarm you, it should.
The Metropolitan Police has just issued a statement saying it will arrest people for expressing support for Palestine Action at protests this weekend

It says "officers will act" over the new terror offences that came into force at midnight

There are many, many recent moments that I'd like to see all the people professing to be deeply outraged by Bob Vylan comment on. From columnists & politicians to the Chief Rabbi. (Perhaps they have but I can't find any...)
I'd probably start with this one.

Senior Israeli official says all Palestinian adults in Gaza 'should be eliminated'
Deputy parliament speaker Nissim Vaturi also called for the destruction of Jenin, warning that it will soon be turned into Gaza

In the past 24 hours, Trump’s threatened Elon Musk, Thomas Massie, Japan, a judge in Israel, the CEO of AT&T, Jerome Powell, Canada, Thom Tillis, a Forbes reporter, Harvard, & migrants with being eaten by Burmese pythons in the Everglades, while releasing a new line of colognes.

Let me be clearer. I was former head of UK Foreign Office humanitarian affairs, incl policy on war crimes, genocide. I helped craft policy for international criminal court. I’m in no doubt these are war crimes. Disproportionate, indiscriminate, collective punishment by an occupying power.
This is from my friend, Nabil, in Gaza today. He says there is NO food left. He has never sounded so in despair. Israel is carrying out war crimes; violating international humanitarian law; inflicting collective punishment on a captive people; trying to starve them into submission. It’s obscene.

Trump got it all wrong.
We love the wind turbines.
They provide cheap electricity for millions of people around the North Sea.
Trump should listen to Ida, who has a deal for him.

BBC News: "according to the Reuters news agency, the missile that killed at least 8 people in that aerial attack on Kyiv was a North Korean ballistic missile"

Are you going to start reporting the origin of all the bombs & missiles that Israel uses to kill Palestinians in Gaza?

It is far, far past time for Starmer to stop treating Trump like someone who can rationally make and stick to deals.

Cool professional detachment, and an end to the cloying "special relationship" nonsense he keeps spouting.

Otherwise Britain risks being seen as the playground bully's only lackey.

why is *every* newspaper/programme running with the headline "tariffs are paused" when they haven't been.
