"That would save about 30 cents on each item that Amazon picks, packs and delivers to customers."

First, that's a small amount in the greater scheme, and second, the savings is going to be passed on to the executives, not the consumer. That's how it always works.

Cosign! Plays @cucalorus.bsky.social Sat, Nov 22.
There will be bass drops.

Oliver Laxe's SIRAT is out in NYC now, coming soon — or at least one prays on bended knees it will! — to a theater near you. One of the few movies that felt like it was already a cult classic as I was watching it. So fucking good. 📽️

Welcome to Your New Favorite Cult Movie: 'Sirāt'
Spanish filmmaker Oliver Laxe's thriller follows a man looking for his M.I.A. daughter in the desert rave scene. It's a trip in more ways than one.

I wrote about something both new and old for Belgian duo Bruno Forzani and Hélène Cattet: a Eurospy thriller with giallo flare--black latex, crimson lipstick, eyeball peril. The whole bit. Chilling piece on employment effects of AI on early careers. Includes this line, which will probably become the norm for many firms: "Managers at Shopify must now justify hiring a human by first explaining why AI can’t do the job."

The Irish government spends millions subsidising Irish cinema and this is the thanks they get, a movie where Tyrone Power meets a leprechaun is the most influential Irish movie of the present moment
Ryan Coogler said part of his influence for making Sinners was a childhood love for the Disney movie “Luck of the Irish” and let me tell you…he is so real for that.

Saw Cattet/Forzani's latest genre deconstruction REFLECTION IN A DEAD DIAMOND last night, it's an avant-garde James Bond V Female Diabolik diamond heist seemingly told from the perspective of one Bond who's just been replaced by another, or maybe he's a fictional character in search of his author?
