was reading thru this thing about 'men with ME/CFS' and a lot of it was relatable but what stood out was a sense of grievance that we had it worse than the ladies, who had everything set up for them. and i thought this was weird cos my own experience had been to see it as much more levelling >

have seen no mention of polls in terms of how to deal with the problem with bluesky and this imo is the problem with bluesky, you just keep all the trump posters quiet by polling them on Is Trump Bad and we can do our pop polls as well, it's all very simple smdh

finished a dance to the music of time, which goes out with a real flourish (possible that the final book is the best?) wondered if there had been a proper longform podcast on it but there's only the odd episode afaict, it may be that we need a true professor of widmerpool to do it justice

have been listening to matthew sweet's series about progress on radio 4 and it reminded me of when i used to listen to R4 all the time, about 10-15 years ago. i'd been too sick to think about things like that b4 then and was v into ideas and the notion that politics might still do good >
