As the OP notes the ban will cost the Dems the GenZ/younger Millenial vote for a long time, but implications are far greater than that. While it comes @end of a Dem govt, it effectively supports MAGA/Far-Right agenda of destroying where marginalized individuals and communities survive and thrive.
Pouring one out for TikTok. There are a lot of people, including queer and trans people, whose lives will be wrecked by the decision to ban it. It will also significantly reduce the ability of young queer people to see positive representations of themselves.
