The joke I heard is that they will release them as PDFs with the redacted bits "blacked out" using a black highlighter over the text.
I see a lot of people saying that DOJ is going to scrub the Epstein files, but are we sure they’re competent enough to do that? Seems like they’re about as likely to include prompts asking ChatGPT to remove any references to Trump in the release.
Sure. "The Grand Jury did not see the operative indictment" is the kind of fuckup where lawyers literally don't actually know what happens next because it SO fundamental a thing that it is LITERALLY possible nobody had even thought of this as a thing that could happen.

Exactly. The Democratic party is more than happy to throw its own under the bus if they have ties to Epstein. Up to and including the Big Dog himself. We need fresh blood in our party that isn't tainted by this mess, anyway.
Git them all. R, D, other. Doesn't matter.

Mike Johnson could reopen Congress today and call a vote on Sen. Josh Hawley's bill and extend SNAP benefits tomorrow.

It would have bipartisan support across the House. Having 41 million Americans, including 16 million children, go hungry is a choice Republican leadership is making.

I'm tired of every Georgia game this season being this meme, but I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty. And win ugly they do, reliably. GO DAWGS

"Is SB 79 all good news? No, it’s bad news that it was necessary. It’s bad news that in the midst of a historic crisis of homelessness and housing affordability, so many California local governments were still happy to wring their hands and demand that the problem be solved somewhere else."

Mike Johnson shut the government down because the GOP is scared of what's in the Epstein Files.
Congress finally got Epstein’s financial records, and right after that, Speaker Mike Johnson shut the House down. The timing looks shady as hell like they don’t want anyone digging too deep or asking the wrong questions. Whether it’s coincidence or cover-up, it sure doesn’t feel like transparency.
SCOOP: Johnson closed House hours after Congress received Epstein’s financial records
The decision to shut down the House — and by extension the government — came hours after the Oversight Committee received documents from the US Treasury.

Relatedly, someone really should fund a lawsuit by ppl who got home-invaded, assaulted, and kidnapped by ICE agents without a warrant.

Yes, SCOTUS will throw it out. Make them. Let Roberts and his fellow Republicans on the court tie themselves to this hideous and also hideously unpopular atrocity.
You can't raid and arrest everyone in an entire apartment building, or even legitimately get a warrant to do that, any more than you could for a whole neighborhood. That would be a general warrant. This is the most specific core the-British-did-it-to-us thing the Fourth Amendment is written to ban.
NEW — An estimated 40 people were taken by federal agents in an overnight raid in South Shore, a predominantly-Black neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

A couple who live nearby said they were shocked to see the enormous militarized raid in their community.

When I complain about AI not actually solving business cases, this is what I mean: A certain major CMS invested a ton of money into an LLM to "help users write better", but their content editor still can't do a basic Find and Replace. Or a "clear all formatting from this page" :(

Fun fact: Some IKEA furniture is actually made out of raw US materials. I saw the pile of sawdust on the docks in Savannah. They ship our spare wood chips over to Europe because loblolly pine chips are cheap and plentiful. Never did reopen US manufacturing after 2019 though.
