I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

All of this talk about how AI will impact the study of history is a reminder that we have to do a better job of explaining what the process of historical research and interpretation actually entails.

Dear closeted gay Republicans,

Liberals not only don't care what your sexual orientation is, we help you celebrate it. We fight for and vote for your rights. 🏳️‍🌈

Republicans hate who you are and vote against your interests, even if they're just like you. Seriously, wake up.

Since his appointment, RFK Jr. has pursued a brutal vision of American health that several experts liken to a sort of eugenics. Kennedy has made it clear that certain deaths are acceptable or even preferable to a world where every child is vaccinated.

not that the present economic picture is rosy, but i do think that popular culture — and specifically nostalgia bait television — is a big part of the reason that our public memory of the 1970s, 1980s and even 1990s seems to miss the real economic pain that marked each of those decades.

This is not the first time RFK Jr or his fellow anti-vax travelers conducted a study they knew would harm or kill children in low-income countries. It is a dehumanizing, colonialist model of manufacturing evidence: sacrificing foreign kids for political pseudoscience.

NB: When I, a professor of law, profess that an act is unlawful, I am not doing it to inform the lawbreaker, but rather to inform you, the reader.

So the question “what, like you think he cares?” is inapposite. The question is whether *you* care. I think you should, which is why I bother.

The media needs to stop writing headlines like “The CDC changes course on vaccines and autism” and “The CDC defends measles response”.

NONE of this is coming from legitimate scientists at the CDC.

ALL of it is coming from RFK Jr.

Every such headline is causing further harm to public health.

The only legal scholars I want to hear from in the years to come are the ones seriously thinking about how to fully disempower the Supreme Court. What would that take? THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. Offer practical suggestions that could become political campaigns led by the public.
