It is very unlikely that an impeachment push will gain traction in the Republican-controlled Congress, though the move does have strong support among the scientific, medical, and public health communities.

I want to be excited about this, but I'm not. Who is the next George Lucas who will make something new to be excited about? Everything feels like a retread.

@amo.house.gov How about this? Can we get RFK Jr. impeached for this? What is even going on here?
The decision to delay the vote came abruptly yesterday afternoon when the panel realized it still did not understand the topic or what it was voting on.

After reading @zachweinersmith.bsky.social "A City on Mars", I'm wondering why we are doing any of this. Short term manned exploration might make sense since humans can make decisions that robots can't. Otherwise, robots seem the best bet for science.

@amo.house.gov and @whitehouse.senate.gov why aren't impeachment motions being introduced every day for the clowns running HHS and related agencies? How big do the measles outbreaks have to get? Do we need COVID to run rampant again? What's it going to take?

The House just voted to “denounce the horrors of socialism” while people can’t afford rent, groceries, or a doctor’s visit.

Gabe Amo and Seth Magaziner voted with Republicans.

You don’t get to campaign on helping working people then go to DC and condemn the ideas that make our lives affordable.

Creepy that they did this in a game about a resistance group fighting in a dystopian future. Double creepy because this sort of feels like what you'd do if you were training robot soldiers. www.engadget.com/gaming/ubiso...

Ok - let’s talk electric and gas prices that are killing the budgets of Rhode Island families.

Rhode Island Energy profits from those prices - don’t let them fool you on that score.

Production of energy is a pass through charge - no profit there.

Distribution of energy is where they profit. 👇

A scoop that I’m not happy to report:

CBS News has gutted its climate change reporting team, one of the best in the business, and one of the only ones on cable news that consistently called out fossil fuels as the main source of climate pollution.

A really interesting article to read in these present times. The issues and arguments have a lot of echoes today, particularly around who is 'allowed' to vote and who feel like they get to decide that.
