Yet again, Democrats settled for a bad deal to get a vote where the outcome was pretty predictable. What leverage did you have once the shutdown was over?

Hmm. The paradox of automation might be relevant here.

They have lots of messages. Some action would be nice.

We do. It's called looking in our own pockets.

At least they are releasing Star Wars again. 🙄

I didn't know Guillermo Del Toro designed trophies.

Think how much they could have gotten back if they paid that in lawyer fees to fight for their federal funding.

Also, it feels like "discharge petition" has become a marketing term since it worked once for the Epstein files. Why weren't you folks using them before? Why are you so bad at using parliamentary rules when you are in the minority? Why were the Republicans seemingly so good at it?

George isn't in charge anymore. They aren't making money with their new stuff, so they are going to pander to us with the old.

Would be nice to have a bill to shutdown ICE entirely. They've already shown contempt for the law. Will this bill be worth the paper it is written on? Congress needs to start performing real oversight. Releasing documents that Trump doesn't want released seems the most effective right now.

Also, Democrats traded away their only advantage during the shutdown for a possible vote on health care later. How's that going?
December 6, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Right now, the only branch of government that seems to be making anything better is the lower judiciary, but Democrats keep confirming Trump's judges.
December 6, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Probably sleeping well because you keep confirming his judges.

I've yet to see a convincing business case for non-science missions.

If you've lost me, a long time Star Trek fan, then the US space program has really lost the plot.

How about publishing articles of impeachment for them?
