ALL States should immediately activate their National Guard with in-state orders to prevent the illegal usurpation of guard troops & their unconstitutional use by the corrupt Trump regime. If we fail to stand strong NOW, the future fight to protect the U.S. will be much, much harder…if not futile.

Sadly, MAGAism has become so pervasive that a kid doesn’t even need MAGA parents to pick up these anti-communitarian, anti-empathic norms. We need to ACTIVELY teach our kids not to be this way. Why do you think they’ve been coming for social & emotional learning?! 😞

RFK Jr. is absolutely poisonous. He has now caused Dr. Lakshmi Panagiotakopoulos, the person in charge of COVID19 vaccinations at the CDC, to resign.

She did so because RFK Jr. demanded that the experts in charge of vaccine guidance listen to him and not to the scientific evidence.

It is completely obvious that RFK Jr., Makary, Prasad, and Bhattacharya plan to take away as many vaccines as possible from Americans.

Republicans approve of this. You may be tempted to ask why, but if you don’t understand it, it’s probably because you are not an egomaniacal sociopath.

A huge step from HHS that is at odds with science showing significant risks for young children and pregnant women — and that directly contradicts *the FDA's own publication* from last week listing pregnancy as a high-risk condition that would qualify people for this fall's Covid vaccine

Please note that this ban is not just for minors this time, this bill bars coverage of gender-affirming care for ALL transgender individuals with Medicaid or private insurance off the ACA exchanges.
“The tax bill the House passed Thursday would bar Medicaid coverage of all transgender care and prohibit plans offered under the Affordable Care Act’s exchanges from covering such care as an essential health benefit…”

1. Faculty who use LLMs for core aspects of their labor are inviting their own replacement. This is obvious and a cycle that will mirror what happened with adjunctification. You are showing you are unnecessary. www.insidehighered.com/opinion/blog...

It’s really interesting that Gillibrand became across the board dogshit just as she got into crypto. This seems to happen quite a bit.
During the vote, top bill backer Kirsten Gillibrand and chief opponent Elizabeth Warren got into a heated argument. Warren strongly believes this will pave the way for corruption, risk the stability of the financial system and allow more criming. Gillibrand argues this bill will protect consumers.

Counter point: if bigwigs hadn’t started publicly questioning Biden’s competency last summer, while he was actively doing a significantly better job than Trump had the 1st time, we’d currently be learning the news of his cancer dx in an Oval Office address passing the presidency to Kamala.
The idea that how Democrats handled Biden will be a 2028 campaign issue for Dems is beyond absurd--not in the GOP's most fevered erotic dreams. OTOH, I still see some people sticking with "Biden was in perfectly good shape!" and there is simply no argument to be made that that was true.

“…why wouldn’t I use a car to get there?”

For many reasons:

1) Maybe I’m assessing how well you use a bicycle.

2) Maybe in order to use a car you’ll have to go around the meadow, and when you get to point B you’re supposed to tell me what the meadow smelled like.

It’s incredible how much the GOP has destroyed. Just breathtaking. They could restore the Constitution at any time.
Article I, Section 9, Clause 8:

“no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”
