Ceding so much economic power to corporations is a sign of working class setback in the ongoing class struggle. We need to expand the unions we have, sharpen their ideology against capitalism, & increase their militancy.

See? You can make this argument without defending racism. Write THAT article.
I wrote about why we should not celebrate someone losing their job, especially in today’s America, even when they’ve done terrible racist things.

Losing a job should also be harder and involve workers’ bodies not unilateral management decisions.

Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

Windows seemed to sense that I was going to install Mint, I literally received an upgrade to 11 plea after booting up to create the USB stick. Too bad, I checked and pretty much all the games I care about will run (almost) seamlessly, and that's the only thing I kept Windows around for.

The U.S. will become more fascist if we don't dismantle the controlled opposition party. You cannot oppose fascism if the space in which you can do it legally is occupied by a party that doesn't want to oppose it. Then your only hope is the Luigi Mangiones, but the U.S. doesn't have enough of those
hey so even if you do sweep Dems into power again all those people who are openly calling for your murder will still exist so what is your plan because last time Dems were in office they didn’t do anything about it and now we’re here and my god we can’t keep doing this why do you refuse the lesson

To my ears, So What is probably Ministry's greatest track (which should be played louder than bombs every time). Second to that is a lot of stuff scattered across their early albums. Test is one of my favorites for just how silly it is.

I don't think my kiddo was impressed...

Haven't cooked (like, from scratch) in so long that I forgot I knew how to make stir-fry. I know, not that hard, but with a pescetarian kid and not having to do meal planning, that's a win. We've also been trying out mapo tofu variations (extra veggies, no meat), good stuff.

My cat has killed somewhere in the neighborhood of ten rats within the last month and it's honestly a little worrying because not only have I cleared out a ton of foliage this last year but we also only have two neighbor chickens now (instead of six or so when we got the cat).

Assuming there is a "next admin", and it somehow is Democratic Party, it would be prudent to remember that the US has an empire's foreign policy, and that new admin isn't going to tear down ICE or DHS, or stop extrajudicial killing to our south, nor dismantle Israel. Not without a prolonged fight.

I’m watching the US fall apart because 400 wealthy people control 60% of the country’s wealth and fondly remembering the Centrist outrage and endless think pieces written when Dan Riffle tweeted “Every billionaire is a policy failure”

The fact that Trump brokered a "ceasefire" in Gaza, no matter how tenuous or ridiculous, should indicate to everyone that Biden could have _easily_ done the same, years ago. Israel still exists because of the US and still acts by permission of the US. The Democratic Party has a lot to answer for.

It's honestly diheartening to see people in this country who want to throw back fascism but who refuse to recognize the structural elephant in the room which enables fascism: capitalism.

Without throwing off capitalism we will simply continue getting fascism, over and over and over again.

Pt1 🧵: Greta Thunberg deported to Athens says, "There's a live-streamed Genocide in front of our eyes in Gaza. No one will be able to say they didn't know this was happening. The Global Samud Flotilla only existed because our leaders failed. Our international systems are betraying Palestinians."

The Global Sumud Flotilla exposes everything wrong with our morally bankrupt "western society" and "Judeo-Christian values". The fall of Pax Americana can't come soon enough.

The reason centrist pundits can only beat up on the left is because if they ever admitted that the left was correct about anything they’d have to admit they were correct about a lot of things and that ends in full on existential crisis territory for those guys

It's wild that Democrats and liberals literally think shaming you into voting for their people is more compelling than their people actually doing a better job or offering concrete improvements. When faced with criticism they have nothing but scorn to return. It's a cult.

Kiddo wanted to go to House of Records today but might be ruing the day because I scored a copy of Heaven or Las Vegas for the car. At least she seemed okay with it. Her mom may have more sway over her musical tastes but I can tell mine seep in here and there.
