The wild polarization of trends have reversed, so Dems and GOP now seem to share reality when it comes to crime rates.

It could be the GOP self-corrected. I want to believe. Not sure I do.

I’d love a follow-up q: “WHY is it down.”

Reality: it wasn’t Trump. Bet GOP think it’s the “crackdowns.”

US citizen Maria Greeley, a Latina who was adopted, was walking home from work downtown when masked agents zip tied her. They said she “doesn’t look like a Greeley.” This is how the government treats people under current deportation policies.

An interesting thing about autonomous vehicles is that the empty repositioning trips between passenger journeys mean they decrease the average number of people moved per vehicle trip, which is already barely above 1. Traffic that doesn't even transport. Not good!
Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.

I feel like the goal of reducing VMT by 20% per capita in MN has been memory-holed. Yes, we're investing a more in transit/bike/ped infrastructure and density, but we're not really making a dent in removing the incentives to drive.
Yet another evidence review argues very strongly that simply providing alternatives to driving doesn't reduce driving

This isn't surprising, if only thanks to habit. If I unthinkingly jump in my car for every trip (as many do), new buses won't change that

This Sunday is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. A leading cause of preventable death. A cause that is trending in the wrong direction.

While 2025 is better than the record high last year (so far), it is far short of the State goals.

1 death is too many. MN is 33,300% past that.
