Among the problems with this purge: the majority federal law enforcement are conservatives that were promoted based on merit through dem & rep administrations. The people under them are less competent managers. That’s probally the point. It’s not politics or MAGA, it’s Make the Feds less Effective.

Trump’s lieutenant Russ Vought made it known that intended to “traumatize” federal workers and Trump has begun doing that in earnest. People experiencing trauma may find it hard to focus on the details of their jobs, and a lot of those jobs have to do with keeping people safe. He is to blame.
