Just want it to be clear and on the record, the felon-in-chief’s actions are all immoral and inhumane, and anyone who supports him is complicit in all of it. I do not want to let any of this become normalized in my brain, so I will keep saying out loud that what’s happening now is wrong.

Among all the other good news, the voters in my very conservative county rejected all the school board candidates running on anti-trans panic and elected the ones running on crazy ideas like treating teachers as professionals. Local elections matter!

I went to my six-year-old grandson’s flag football game today. (Naturally, he played brilliantly!) One of his teammates was a little girl in pigtails who was wearing her football jersey with a leopard-print skirt, and she played hard. That little girl gives me hope for the future.

On Tuesday, we said goodbye to Bella the bestest* dog ever. I am heartbroken. She was more than 15 years old, and it was time, but it’s still too soon.
*I know you all think your dogs are the bestest, and you’re right, they are. Rules of superlatives are special for dogs. Hug your pups for me.
