This is a piece of the Mamdani campaign that I think is really underdiscussed—that in a moment of terror and despair, his premise is that standing up against fascism can be joyous.
My wife is Chilean and there are lots of parallels to the referendum on Pinochet where he was defeated. The pro-Pinochet ads were doom and gloom. The anti were upbeat and sunny. There was a movie about it: youtu.be/lt8VayTqQhQ?...

I'm so sick of discourse from supposed allies about where trans people went wrong.
Where we "went wrong" is that billionaires spent unimaginably large sums to attack us repeatedly and major media outlets have spent a decade piling on.

1) Impressive study from Johns Hopkins researchers.
They infected mice with SARS-CoV-2, found that female mice had a stronger immune response and more cognitive problems after 84 days than males, and that this was due to overexpression of genes such as Tlr7 on the X chromosome.

Oh god yes. For all the good intentions, every time I read collegial advice of this kind I mutter to myself "not helping!" Also try it in a system where grading is anonymised 🙃
One of the conversations I've been trying to have with anyone who will listen if that for unis like mine, which have big classes, this will require either shrinking class sizes drastically or significantly scaling up teaching assistance. There's no way around it.
