Blue States are the house mates who work, pay the rent and buy the groceries.

Red States are the house mates who eat all the food, complain about the slow Wi-Fi, and treat the kid mowing the lawn like shit instead of doing it themselves.

Not-so-gentle reminder that one senator can use his privilege to pretty much grind the senate to a halt.
Padilla: If this is how DHS responds to a senator with a question you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers out in the Los Angeles community and throughout California.

AOC: When they say illegal vs legal immigration—they are trying to end legal status in the US making people undocumented and then they have the audacity to call them illegal when they were here documented.

Probably the purest distillation of Trump’s neomercantilist ideology that any time you import something you’re automatically losing. He can’t even grasp the concept of a mutually beneficial transaction.
Trump: "We were losing hundreds of billions of dollars with China. Now we're essentially not doing business with China. Therefore, we're saving hundreds of billions of dollars. It's very simple."

Good.
“Starting on Saturday, May 31, the grace period will be over and fare enforcement officers will issue written warnings that escalate into formal violations with repercussions for repeat offenders, similar to Sound Transit’s program.”
Beginning on Monday, March 31, King County Metro will relaunch fare enforcement on buses and streetcars after a five-year hiatus. The new format will be a little more forgiving for fare payment violations.

They're replacing an abandoned store with 100% affordable housing!

"Homes at the apartment complex are expected to be affordable for residents who make 80% of the average median income — which in Santa Clara County is $181,300 for a family of four or $126,900 for individuals"
