Bibi was able to take the tactical defeat of 10/7, which, for a brief moment, engendered an almost unprecedented international support for Israel, and turn it into the most consequential strategic defeat (by his own standards) in Israel's history.

And this happened after widespread elite applause for a party-line Supreme Court decision holding that Biden exceeded his constitutional authority by modifying student loan payments based on a statute authorizing the Secretary of Education to "waive or modify student loan payments"
The implicit elite consensus is that the second election of Donald Trump was also a constitutional convention that established a royal prerogative, reclassified all exclusive congressional powers as exclusive prerogative powers, and nullified all existing law of the land at Trump's sole discretion.

The #1 way to explain America working properly is by saying “comedians can make fun of he President on TV.” A good way to explain fascism is “the President forces companies to fire those comedians as a condition of allowing them to conduct business.”

Near the end of the Biden years, Elizabeth Prelogar asked the Supreme Court to rein in nationwide injunctions in a low-stakes case where a Republican judge/Fifth Circuit blocked an act of Congress from applying to anyone anywhere.

They declined and took up Trump’s patently illegal order instead.

The antisemites in the White House—who talk of Good Jews and Bad Jews, do Nazi salutes, push white nationalist conspiracy theories, and dine with open Jew haters—are not fighting antisemitism.

That is merely the bad faith BS they’re using as cover for trying to crush higher education.

Not subtle.

NIOSH is an agency in the CDC that investigates workplace hazards and finds solutions. It protects workers, so it’s gone. Even firefighters.

As we near the hundred days mark in his second term, Donald Trump has a 39% approval rating.
