I want the US to support Taiwan. I would like Europe to be in on that project. If Europe believes a Chinese invasion of Taiwan is a greater threat to their interests than a US invasion of Greenland, they are high on Atlanticist fumes and need to stop

Defending democracy does not end overseas, and it does not end when the uniform comes off.

We need accountability in office. We need leaders in Congress.

I didn’t understand how a national leader could call for an attack on our nation.

I will never understand it.

What I do understand is this.

The greatest threat to our democracy is right here at home, and authority without accountability is dangerous.

I watched the January 6th insurrection while deployed in the South China Sea.

Communications were shut down on and off the ship. No internet.

What we knew came from a single news network playing on ship TV.

From halfway around the world, in uniform, I watched an attack on our democracy.

Tim Walz is such a good and decent man. And seeing what has been done to him stirs a rage in me so strong that I can’t really grapple with it at times. I only know one way forward which is a promise to use that rage to bring about change and a return to decency.
Walz: "This is a concerted effort to try to destroy the president's opponents, to destroy the rule of law. And it became apparent to me that he was going to do that with me being there, and I just feel along with my family that it's the best decision for Minnesota."
