Reminder why Trump wanted to be President again:

1. Escape criminal charges for committed crimes incl. insurrection & stealing national security secrets

2. Line his pockets w/riches only made possible by being President

3. Retribution against *all *perceived enemies

That's it.

BREAKING: The full DC Circuit will NOT rehear the appeal over the contempt proceedings before Judge Boasberg re: the March 15 flights.

Three Democratic appointees write to say en banc review isn’t called for here b/c of the lack of “practical or presidential effect” of the panel opinion.

As a hedge fund owner, Scott Bessent avoided over $900K in Medicare taxes by exploiting a major loophole.

As Treasury Secretary, he now oversees the IRS — which has backed away from closing the loophole since Trump took office.

Corporate profits have surged over 35% since Trump announced his tariffs, with companies continuing to hike prices on consumers.

Meanwhile, layoffs have exploded to over 1.1M this year — the highest level since the pandemic.

This is what a two-tiered economy looks like.

Disney has hiked prices and laid off hundreds of workers this year.

Yet Disney paid its CEO $41B in 2024. It just reported a 36% increase in net profits for parks and streaming. And it plans to double stock buybacks next year.

Remember this as Disney turns to AI.
Bob Iger says Disney+ will soon have AI-generated short form content from users

That's authoritarianism but worse, it he take further steps daily. I know many Biden officials who can't get work because they fear retribution. What Trump is doing is wildly illegal and un-American and reveals his profound weakness rather than any sort of strength. But it's where we are.

Donald Trump has not quite made being a Democrat or opposed to him illegal. But he has done everything short of that. Prosecuting Dems. Classifying groups that oppose him (Antifa) as terrorists. Deporting/blocking entry of people who criticize him. Keeping federal funds from Dem states & cities.

This is big: elected Republicans in a deep-red state saying NO to Trump even after his personal plea.

The balance is shifting - and we have to keep up the pressure everywhere.
Indiana likely will not push forward with redistricting despite pressure from White House
It’s a massive blow to the White House’s efforts to shore up a Republican House majority next year.

Is the Trump administration trying to drag America into another war?

They are parking some of our most lethal warships off the coast of Venezuela and sending thousands of service members to the region.

And we're supposed to believe this is about blowing up speedboats?

Every letter to the editor matters.

We have agency. Always.

To stop Trump’s effort to rig Indiana, when the GOP dominates that statehouse, is one impressive feat!

BREAKING:

There are NOT the votes in the Indiana Senate to support Trump’s and Vance’s election-rigging (in advance) scheme!!

An amazing coalition across party lines made sure this happened.

Count the ways they’re corrupting DOJ: Presidents don’t direct AG’s to open criminal cases, especially ones designating only Dems for investigation when POTUS himself is involved. DOJ doesn’t publicize criminal investigations & the AG definitely doesn’t assign them on Twitter.

Except Bondi and Co. claimed in July that their review of the Epstein Files found no predicate to investigate third parties. So she’s proven herself to be lying. bsky.app/profile/clay...
DOJ in July: “This systematic review revealed no incriminating "client list." There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions. We did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties.”

Great line from Rep Adam Smith here on this crazy memo on Trump's boat murders: He says administration lawyers may be looking at the bombings and saying, in effect, “Damn, we are really pushing the envelope here. We’d better do something a little extra special to protect our people.”
The memo “signals fear that what they’re doing is illegal and that they could possibly be subject to criminal action under US law and international law,” Rep Adam Smith, top Armed Services Dem, tells me.

This opens them up to Qs about why they put this in there:

This.

Yet, will the MAGA base buy into it? Highly doubtful. And certainly, Dems, survivors & families, and most of public will not relent in demanding release.
I think it's a way of tying up the Epstein files. He'll claim they can't be released because of his bogus "investigation." Remember how his taxes were forever "under audit?" Same ploy.
