Don't forget the Mormon church runs parallel with Catholic and Evangelical churches in grooming and protecting sexual predators of children.
the mormon church is the richest church in the world and is the top 5 landowner in the united states

but those pesky Jews controlling everything and greedy for money right ?

Weren't some of those people shitting on the ACA as not good enough/Republican healthcare/a blockade to M4All? Now, they recognize it's importance now that it can be used as a cudgel against Dems. MAGA really seeped into everything political, including rhetoric on the left.
I had no idea so many of these large accounts that bashed Biden/Harris last year & continue to bash Democrats this year cared so much about healthcare & SNAP🤷🏾‍♀️

I mean ALL OF THIS is in Project 2025 but they spent last year & this year telling folks about EVERYTHING but what was really important…

"Hamas seeks to silence every Gazan voice that opposes it."

A young man from Gaza bravely details the abuses Hamas is enacting on the people, fully aware that the punishment for speaking out is often death.

Ashkenazim are an identifiable genetic cluster compared to the other groups. Jews have been largely endogamous for centuries and specific gene inflow can be tracked.

Ashkenazim also have few founders and some genetic bottlenecks that lead them to have lower genetic diversity than other populations

Maybe it's because he's a Jewish man and you ran around with an SS Totenkopf emblazoned on your chest for almost two decades & it didn't seem to bother you one iota to stare at that literal symbol of the Holocaust in the mirror every morning while brushing your teeth.

It would be pretty hilarious if this ended up with more likes than his original post. It's on its way. 🤣

Changing the Grammys because a Black woman won. SMDH.

But some folks think racism doesn't impact every aspect of our society😒
They hate to see Black women flourish

sometimes really horrible moments from your families story come in your head and you just get devastated for them.

Like the story of my grandmother 5 years after the holocaust, being choked by a priest infront of her whole class for being Jewish.

The world can be so cruel. She deserves only good

I’ll bet there’s a _very_ strong correlation between defending Platner & having supported (& in Grim’s case, almost certainly helping perpetrate) the Tara (is now a Russian citizen & lives in Russia) Reade operation
So it turns out the main people defending Platner are Bernie, Lovett/Veitor, Yglesias (I guess a good contrarian schtick is to be anti-anti-Nazi if the Nazi is from where you spend the summer), & a bunch of people who are always trying to ratfuck Democrats
I was out most of yesterday & missed the Platnerkreig. Who besides Lovett & Stoller has defended Platner? (I don’t mean randos w a few dozen followers)

antisemitism is very strongly linked to gendered prejudice (as all racial prejudice is.)
Now that I think of it, the comfort certain people have with antisemitic iconography is very much connected to gender panic. “Neurotic, effete wordcel with an expensive diploma and IBS” is a very specific stereotype to be contrasted with “masculine, blue collar tribune of the volk.”
(discourse would also be better if people could separate their obvious anxieties about their own masculinity from their political decision making but that’s a separate conversation)

Being picked on when you’re young really prepares you to deal with the corporate world with your head held high.

gotta love being white but not the right type of white. I hate this middle belonging to nothing and everything and being responsible for nothing and everything bullshit that comes with being Jewish.

this whole thread. thank you. I am so tired of people who are not educated speaking on topics like they are.

bravo.
one of the consistently interesting things about ACA criticism since it was signed into law is how critics discount or ignore the medicaid expansion

this isn’t a “be happy with what you have” argument but a recognition of the very real impact of the ACA and a partial explanation for why ordinary democrats are inclined to strongly defend it even with its flaws and failures.

like yeah sure the ACA was far from perfect (although “expansion of the welfare state was hard fought but woefully incomplete” is basically the history of american social policy), but it is difficult to overstate how important the Medicaid expansion has been to expanding health care access

in its original form the medicaid expansion was basically mandatory and would have very clearly formed the nucleus of a genuinely universal system. and in its neutered form (thanks john roberts) it is still a powerful policy that can be built on and expanded in straightforward ways
