The whole story — the door remaining locked, the open heating, the emergency button failing is making my safety engineer senses quite upset.
More on the tragic death of a husband/wife in a fire at a sauna in Tokyo's Akasaka. There's evidence that the couple tried pressing the room's emergency button. However, the owner admits the buttons were turned off. Further, they confessed, they've never once turned them on.
