Hi! I’m jou and I stream video games to force me to finally get through my back catalogue or to RP in ways I wouldn’t do on my own!

Streaming every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday starting at around 8 or 8:30 pm JST.
I’m going to be pretty MIA this week and next - between writing and grading exams, grading papers, and turning in final scores, it’s gonna be a busy two weeks for me.

"sell a console that might be $800 by xmas" or "charge every existing customer more for their games and services" is probably not a very enjoyable thought exercise for anyone at playstation
PlayStation is gonna screw all of us a little, instead of some of us a lot:

My local library keeps a stack of temporary cards in the front if anyone needs to use a computer or print something out. Everyone gets $5 in free printouts or copies a day, no ID necessary.

Libraries are amazing and Nazis don't get to lie about them.
Leavitt: "You need an ID to go and purchase alcohol. You need an ID to go to the library and check out a book. So the president thinks you should have an ID to vote in our nation's elections."

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.

If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

fund.godotengine.org
Godot's GitHub has increasingly many pull requests generated by LLMs and it's a MASSIVE time waster for reviewers – especially if people don't disclose it. Changes often make no sense, descriptions are extremely verbose, users don't understand their own changes… It's a total shitshow. #godotengine

Make sure you're dusting all your electronics with some air cans.

Gotta make whatever we have now last as long as possible.

over the weekend i started thinking about the issue of misogynoir in the video games journalism/criticism space and truly the hardest part of even pointing this out is that many of y'all can't even find a white women to be on panels

Every day, I hate AI just a little bit more.

Valve breaks its silence on Steam Deck OLED scarcity and yes, it's because of the RAM and storage crisis
AI continues to mop up all the components you need to play videogames.

I have so many tests to make this week 😭

I’m going to make the test for IT tonight and make a Google Sheets Quick Guide for them to study from. Tomorrow, I’ll make the civics test. 🫠

No stream tonight; I had to sign late grading tests for my Saturday job and I haven’t even gotten HOME yet. I’m also very, very grouchy right now and it’s just a bad idea lol.

Microsoft’s AI-Powered Copyright Bots Fucked Up And Got An Innocent Game Delisted From Steam
At some point, we, as a society, are going to realize that farming copyright enforcement out to bots and AI-driven robocops is not the way to go, but today is not that day. Long before AI became the buzzword it is today, large companies have employed their own copyright crawler bots, or employed those of a third party, to police their copyrights on these here internets.
