The cost of community moderation. Read this and realize BlueSky expects **us** to moderate.

For free.

This is real.

I’ve been sitting on a take that’s basically “the fact that Aveta had to do this should’ve given everyone pause.”

How do you have two intentional attempts to diversify the Skyline fail and still not acknowledge that you have a whiteness problem?
Just so people know:

I had a total of over 1,000 codes.

Every. Single. One. was sent to people . Some in groups of 5, 10s, 20s(larger one dedicated for groups like indigenous ppl for example)

From the words of a team member I don't fuck with anymore:

"our most PROLIFIC inviter lol"
No, potential was squandered. What happened was the initial wave of users established a community of whiteness. That is, the initial folks around which the space formed were white and queer which meant that the other people who were brought shared this likeness.

The right wing justices ideological priority is that the system function uninterrupted regardless of the guilt of the convicted, unless the guilty are political or economic elites. Fine for the wheels of justice to crush the innocent as long as they keep turning.

Republicans want to blame the rise in crime on liberal permissiveness, which includes, in their view, the right to counsel.

97%! That's fucking insane. What's with strike authorizations these days and having insanely high approval numbers?

This brain implant changed a woman's life. Then the company that made the implant went under & the implant was removed against her will. This is the grim meathook future we were promised and I hate it.

Do liberals understand that by enforcing the rule of law in the face of overt, confessed-to federal crimes, they are destroying norms we don’t care about and unleashing a retaliatory abuse of the system that we were planning to do if we felt like it anyway?

Wait, so a wildfire is affecting the air quality in places thousands of miles away?

Do you think it works the same way with emissions and pollution, maybe?

Hi everyone! PSA: Your N95s and KN95s will block a lot of the particulate matter that makes you feel real shitty during bad wildfires. Even cloth masks and bandannas help. Sorry if this is already obvious to everyone, I would rather be tediously repetitive than not say anything in this case

God I am getting so tired of reviewing code written with copilot. I'm running out of patience to not say "please for the love of Turing turn that off. Your code is getting worse and worse as you rely on it more and more."
