The right wing justices ideological priority is that the system function uninterrupted regardless of the guilt of the convicted, unless the guilty are political or economic elites. Fine for the wheels of justice to crush the innocent as long as they keep turning.

They did tell. That's part of why they zeroed in on a specific search area.

Also, they weren't certain it was the sub exploding. Decently sure but not enough to say definitively. With the location of the debris field though they can now know what they thought they heard is what they actually heard

As far as deaths go, it doesn't seem that bad, because there's no time to contemplate and it happens so quickly you neither realize it is happening nor even feel pain.
