The gender gap among the young is not about economics.
It is about culture, identity, and how these issues are framed and politicised. Great piece by @jonwheatley.bsky.social

If that is the case, the Gorton and Denton by-election risks becoming a two-horse race - between Reform UK and the Greens.

Lots of stuff here that you won't read in most of the legacy media which seems completely uninterested in the backgrounds, associations and possible motivations of those behind the BBC crisis.

Why was the BBC having its homework marked by a lobbyist who hasn't worked as a journalist for 20 years?

Agree. While the parties themselves (and their activists) are obviously different in various ways, at the level of voters the main difference between Lab and LD, particularly post 2024, is electoral geography - there's a sizeable LD/Lab vote which votes LD in Con-LD seats and Lab in Con-Lab seats
All of the above is also true of Conservative-to-Labour 2024 losses, but frankly I think one of the biggest misreads in politics is to sweat the difference between a Labour and a Liberal Democrat voter all that much. Most Labour and Liberal Democrat voters don't!
