Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

The antiabortion movement has produced an incredible amount of violence, and many members believe people who have and perform abortions should face the death penalty—a segment that appears to be growing. This seems to be another example of the violence against clinics that has increased post-Dobbs.
An anti-abortion protester has shot someone outside of a South Carolina Planned Parenthood.

My source says one person was injured and taken to the hospital—and that the protester was arrested.

More soon.

Again it’s not good that the most prominent leaders of the party keep insisting it’s a trap to talk about “identity” when the Trump administration is pushing white supremacy.
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25

The former U.S. transportation secretary said the Democratic Party should focus more on issues gripping the country, such as health care and housing affordability.

Another sign they're moving away from "he's innocent" to "raping young girls isn't a crime." The purpose of this is to imply everyone does it.

The smart reaction from the left, of course, is to say everyone who committed a crime should go to prison.

Nancy Mace keeps insisting Trump "protects" women, even as she voted to release the Epstein files.

This is incoherent, but her nonsense reflects a deeper dilemma facing all Republican women: keeping up their delusions about Trump.

People *still* had the knee-jerk reaction of equating Gay and Summers’s treatment, even though Larry Summers was prominently featured as a friend and confidant of Jeffrey Epstein *this week.*
NEW: Before the recent Epstein disclosures, Larry Summers was poised to lead the economic policy plank for the Democrats' "Project 2029" effort at the Center for American Progress. He signed off on a housing policy paper CAP was prepping for next week.

One way the shutdown deal might actually help Democrats
A plurality of voters approve of the deal to end the government shutdown. Democrats have an opportunity to claim they saved SNAP & other government programs, which could help repair the party's image
