An American president taking to social media to attack a journalist he doesn’t like is a wild thing to see.
Sincere props to a colleague who very obviously is doing his job well.

Spineless and morally bankrupt.
There are perhaps 40 trans athletes completed at the college level, and their hard work is meaningless because a bigoted billionaire said so.

The Grammys were filled with support for our community last night.
Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, and Alicia Keys used their platform to stand with queer and trans folks in America.

Thank you so much for your solidarity and commitment during these times.

A USAID HR director sent out this email today to staff letting them know he was placed on administrative leave.

The Federal Freeze on Grants and Loans was rescinded.

Resistance Works. Let’s keep after it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Trump's spending freeze was unconstitutional and a violation of the Impoundment Control Act.

But the public uproar yesterday should serve as a reminder that Trump's plans to gut federal programs are deeply unpopular.

Keep fighting. Keep up the pressure. Don't tune out. www.cnn.com/2025/01/29/p...

A federal grant freeze is the White House seizing control of Congress’ authority to distribute federal funds.

This is another move to consolidate power under one man, and to threaten the livelihoods of millions, regardless or whether they support his agenda or not.

Inspectors General, the govt’s internal watchdogs, were a post-Watergate reform, reporting abuses to Congress.

Trump fired some IGs in term 1 after his first impeachment showed that Senate GOP will defend abuse.

Only reason to fire 17 IGs now is to abuse power and break the law with less pushback.

The excessive use of executive orders that we have seen this week flies directly in the face of democratic rule.

They are being used to usher in sweeping reform, most of which is antithetical to true American values, without elected representatives having input.

It is inherently undemocratic.
