Chapter One of Moontouched is LIVE on itch! Link in comments

Sitting at around 85k words with over 50 CGs, over 50 hand painted backgrounds, and a (mostly) original soundtrack, Chapter One shaped up beautifully! We also have a surprise in the form a new feature that’s available from the start!

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

Zelda Williams (the daughter of the great Robin Williams) sure had a lot to say about the “Studio Ghibli style” AI images that have been trending recently.

I think those people should read these posts and really think about what they’re doing.

Ofc this isn't a format i or anyone have exclusive rights to, and i am sure this show will be very good, but it's extremely funny to me how the guardian describes "a podcast where two people talk about historic figures who suck" as a novel concept

A scholar and a hater: new podcast focuses on historical figures that suck
Claire Aubin’s podcast This Guy Sucked explores the viler actions of ‘great men’ for a more holistic view of history

Hey furries outside of the US. I totally understand wanting to boycott American companies- but please don’t take it out on us Artists.

We didn’t ask for this and are taking the biggest hit from tariffs, increased cost of living, and the mental stress of being in the US.

in 2020 I watched a documentary on the 1918 flu pandemic. I'll never forget this quote:

"as soon as the dying stopped, the forgetting began"

"it is in the individual memory... but not in our collective memory. that's the greatest mystery to me—how we could have forgotten anything so horrendous."
Also jarring to me that we've never had any real collective mourning in the USA.

More than a million Americans have died of Covid and, barring some very isolated moments, there's been no sense of coming together to mark the incalculable loss. No events. No monuments. Etc.
It is truly wild that it is estimated that more than 20 million people died of Covid and the prevailing vibe is that the world overreacted. That is an astonishing toll! More people died of Covid in the US than in the Civil War. www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...

When Animorphs ended, fans were vocal about how they didn't like the depressing ending.

K.A. Applegate responded with amongst the most brutal letters I've read.

It takes a generational talent to tell your fans "If you're mad at me because that's what you have to take away from Animorphs, too bad."

If you think Bluesky is dead, it's probably because you're doing Twitter shit: quote dunking, picking fights, upending reply threads, etc.

That doesn't result in interaction here. Instead your ass gets blocked. A lot.

This is quite literally a skill issue, because you're probably feral.
For as much as I get weirdos chiding, "lol, Bluesky dead site, lmao", this place has actually been pretty bustling and engaging for me, so it seems like if you do it right you shouldn't have that problem.

Anyway, I hope with every new dumb Twitter move, we get closer to people finally migrating.
