I had never spent more than $104 for a fountain pen, but I love thecoffeemonsterzco’s work so much I decided to gamble on her collab with Esterbrook. Absolutely worth it and I think the Forgotten Iced Coffee is a fun color, I can always put in something darker if needed.

I get the instinct to say "it's too late" in response to calls to action (call your reps about thing x, show up to protest thing y). I do. But here's the thing. These are the last tools we have to preserve democracy, short of some very messy options that I refuse to romanticize. Too early to quit.

Just a warning about Casper mattresses: they do NOT hold up. I’ve had mine for just a couple of years and it was doing fine, but recently got into a Little Nemo-type situation and the bed broke up over the North Atlantic. Ended up needing a Coast Guard rescue and they laughed at my big nightshirt
