It's not just social media. Looks like visitors to the US from Europe and other countries that are part of the visa waiver program will have to submit an enormous amount of data about themselves and their families, including DNA, if proposed new rules are accepted

This is such an excellent point. I couldn’t agree more.
Too much political media and especially commentary takes the perspective of a campaign strategist.
Similar to how a lot of sports media and fandom has taken the perspective of a general manager — team construction, contracts, salary cap, etc. — except with much higher stakes.

The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled, in a series of 6-3 decisions, that Donald John Trump is Our Very Special Boy for whom none of these piddling little "laws" or even "the Constitution" can touch.
I mean what on earth are district court judges supposed to do at this point other than get the message from SCOTUS to let Trump do whatever he wants to no matter what the law says.

Pathetic - and makes comically clear that the shakedowns of universities, law firms, and the media aren't based on some principled critique of those institutions. He uses the authoritarian playbook to bully people and try to get what he wants. That's it.
