Important note: This is different than measurable snow. Denver's tied for its 4th-latest first measurable snow on record, as of today.

A far-right Republican, Victor Marx, is running for Governor in Colorado. There have been numerous attempts on his life, and there is a long list of people in his life who have met a violent end.

Can’t wait. Love me some Ken Burns 🤓
Nice interview re: Burns' new Revolutionary War doc--caught the 1st episode; found it illuminating.

"You cannot understate the importance of the changes to romanticized ideas abt the Revolution. It is still encrusted w/ the barnacles of sentimentality and nostalgia, & we don’t accept its violence."
Ken Burns Knows Who Won the American Revolution: “Ne’er-Do-Wells, Felons, and Immigrants”
“I vowed after ‘The Civil War’ not to do any more war films,” says the master documentarian. “It hurt too much.” Lucky for us, he couldn’t keep his promise—paving the way for The American Revolution...

Wyoming resident in a state trying to navigate a property tax reduction visited on us by the Freedom Caucus.

Because Wyoming does not have a state income tax, property taxes are essential in funding local services.

The cuts are just beginning, and they are awful.
There is a property tax revolt starting in Chicago. One group is calling for a new policy 'modeled after California's Prop 13'

Folks, I will self-immolate in front of city hall if that happens

Tina Peters wasn’t jailed for “catching Democrats.” She was convicted of felony misconduct after she let unauthorized outsiders access secure voting machines, turned off cameras, leaked data, lied about it, and then showed zero remorse.
