Looks like I'll have to add two grand to my pre-election poll crowdfunder because I certainly won't be working with this rag again. Absolutely disgraceful, awarding a hate campaign that is out to destroy my community and kill my best friend like this. Shame on you.

A big lesson from Denmark, regarding the substance of the policies now being pursued by the Home Secretary, is that making the status of asylum seekers so precarious directly harms integration, something we've actually been historically very good at in Britain.

This one is legitimately funny, I kinda want to stoke it
Even the conspiracy theories are getting dumber.
Just had lunch with a great friend and colleague who told me solemnly that the Labour Party is now controlled by the Fabians and that Fabians are radical communists. This is my first real world sighting of this amazing idea.

Terrific piece this. Continue to find it bizarre how little “food inflation is off the chain” and “core inflation is above target” featured as topics at Labour conference or more broadly as “theories to why the government is unpopular”.
“I think politicians are ignoring prices and bills and hoping we’ll forget about them and find something else to complain about…”

My report on how the flighty Westminster bubble forgot about the cost-of-living crisis, which certainly isn't over:
Energy bills rise while Westminster talks immigration
Why have our politicians forgotten about the cost-of-living crisis?

This is what Reform does: it identifies a wedge issue, it spreads disinformation until people are no longer able to distinguish between what’s real and what isn’t, it polarises communities, politicians get scared and potentially positive schemes are jettisoned. It’s 100% its MO.

People can make points about regional representation all day, and that’s important, but what Labour actually needs now Rayner is gone is someone *interesting* who can land blows on Farage.
