the post office is a public service. it doesn’t need to make money. public transit doesn’t need to make money. the library doesn’t need to make money. some things exist for the public good and we desperately need lawmakers to stop thinking about them in terms of capitalism. these are not businesses.

Since we can all use some, some good news today.
BREAKING NEWS. Alberta Court of King’s Bench grants injunction preventing Alberta Government from banning gender-affirmative care for minors citing “irreparable harm will be caused if the Ban comes into force.”

The time has come to bring back the house hippo.

There’s a measles outbreak in the Canadian province of Ontario that’s twice the size of the one in Texas.

Over 1000 people are sick.

Why isn’t this getting more media attention? People need to be informed of the risk & how to protect themselves.

Vaccinate, wear a respirator, isolate when sick.

The world is literally and figuratively burning. We're on the cusp of a third world war. We're facing historic income disparities; the revival of once eradicated diseases.

But the West is going full court press against trans women?!

Proof that you can't separate transphobia from fascism.
British Supreme Court unanimously rules legal definition of a 'woman' excludes trans women's identities | CBC News
The United Kingdom's top court on Wednesday upheld an appeal by the campaign group For Women Scotland on whether transgender women are legally women under equality legislation.

Catching up on a few things I haven’t had a chance to clip yet — did you know Poilievre, speaking in French, called UNWRA terrorists and said he’d stop giving any funding to them????

Absolutely horrifying position given UNWRA’s integral role in providing humanitarian aid to the region.

A reminder : Registering to vote is an OPTION in Canada - not a requirement!

Your voice matters. Your vote matters.

Exercise your democratic rights in the safest way you can!
The Canadian federal election is officially happening on April 28 🗳️

You will see lots of messaging about registering to vote, but that is a choice - not a necessity.

If being on the registry is a safety concern for you, you can just show up with ID and vote on the spot. It's your right!

Solidarity with the people of Kalaallit Nunaat. As settler Canadians, we must support and affirm Indigenous sovereignty and the Kalaallit, just like the Nunavummiut in Nunavut self-govern their lands after centuries of colonization. Now the US wants to implement American colonization there 😡
As a Canadian, Trump's rhetoric has been infuriating, insulting, unsettling.

But we are many, many times the size of Greenland and Trump's threats are many, many orders more specific towards Greenland than us.

The people of Greenland need our support.
