Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

Powell's press conference is more consequential than usual:
1. December rate cut may not happen
2. The FOMC is divided ("strongly differing views")
3. Powell very worried—about both inflation and unemployment.

Stocks are falling, bond yields rising, as he speaks.

Livan Moinelo got the crowd a little excited by almost getting a hit (that would've driven in a run).

He's part of a dying breed as next year's Japan Series will mark the last time NPB pitchers will hit as the Central League plans to adopt the DH in 2027.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

Let's be clear what this image represents.

Those skull masks were first popularized on the far right by a very specific Nazi terror movement that began on the pro-terror Ironmarch forums and entered mainstream news with the Atomwaffen Nazi terrorist murders.

We didn’t change the name of the Department of War to Department of Defense.

DOD was entirely new, combining Cabinet level Depts of War, Navy and the new Air Force into a brand new thing.

Unless they’re also reviving Navy & AF and the rest as their own depts, this isn’t “restoring” a damn thing.
NEW: Donald Trump to rename the Department of Defense the “Department of War”

“Restoring the name Dept of War will sharpen the focus of the Dept on our national interest and signal to adversaries America’s readiness to wage war to defend its interests.”

A literary classic that serves as a cautionary tale about the rise of fascism and the importance of documenting atrocities as they’re occurring.

We all must document this time in history. Keep copies. Write everything down.

Make sure that the truth will out.
