Yeah as a reward for donating to our party we are going to text you relentlessly for the next decade and there’s nothing you can do to make it stop. That’s a winning strategy surely

Given how widespread it is, I bet it works, but I file it under “elected dems should really treat their base with more respect”
the whole weird passive-aggressive tone of fundraising emails seems incredibly offputting to me and I wonder if there's any evidence that it actually works or it's just legacy stuff
Less than 24 hours after what may have been the largest mass protest in American history, my opponent's fundraising email "wonders":
"Maybe progressives are too tired to put up a fight."

This wasn't a joke or sarcasm.
It was a reaction to below-expectation fundraising.

Gonna level with you bro I think DHS needs to be dissolved after this. Regardless of what national security functions fall under its remit, it's clearly institutionally constructed in such a way allows it to be used as an unaccountable tool of executive power. Can't reform your way out of that.

Science nerds played defense for Elon far too long because “Humanity *needs* to colonize space to survive,” and now he killed American science. Like yeah man, I think civilization surviving to 2030 is a prerequisite to escaping Earth before the sun goes out. Enjoy your rockets.

One of my most boomer opinions is that this should result in an automatic explulsion. There should be a zero tolerance policy for cheating with AI. AI companies that actively promote to students for these purposes should be banned and heavily, heavily sanctioned.
Finally hit full in the face with Chat GPT generated final essays in one of my classes. I thought I had proofed things by requiring only sources from inside my course modules, citations, quotes, etc. but am seeing hallucinated citations (for book titles that don't exist). Unrelievedly depressing.

The question that all theories of the housing crisis must explain is, why is the crisis so much worse in some places than in other places?

one of the few bonuses of Trumpism is it gives us more validation for hating New Age woo types than we could possibly have imagined
The latest pick for Surgeon General seems to echo the New Thought movement. 🗃️

“Perhaps the body is simply the material ‘radio receiver’ through which we can ‘tune in’ to the divine."

“Humans are out of alignment with the Earth and depleting its life force."

Again, while bombing with little regard for civilian life is terrible and catches headlines, it's not necessarily genocide.

But cutting off food to a city of two million for two months cannot really be described in any other way

the cctv footage of that cop in a hallway checking his phone with a thin blue line phone background while a bunch of other kitted out cops stand around and like 100 meters away his wife is getting shot contrasted with the woman running past the police barricade into the school to save her kid
Idk how Ulvade wasn’t the end of law enforcement SOF cosplay
They would probably crumble under actual fire, because they are cowards. Just like the cops at Uvalde, who were deathly afraid of a single guy with a AR-15.
