New fiction up on Hazlitt

It’s about travelling sideshow mummies, decades long feuds, weird toy conventions, and the haunted 79 year history of an American pop culture icon told by the dead Canadian teenager who inadvertently inspired everything.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

But the policy makes six other changes to landlord-tenant law that overwhelmingly benefit landlords, @emmapaling.bsky.social reports.

Reminder to artists:

The creature who comes to you asking for a partnership with nothing on offer except "connections" is a parasite. They want something very precious, and they want it for nothing.
