Wow so you’re telling me everyone who cheered on the Iraq war is on board with this now too? And so are the people who opposed the Iran nuclear deal and killed it?

You’re kidding.

If you’re upset about Trump accepting a kingdom-in-the-sky jet from the Saudi royal family you have to remember that Bill Clinton once said hello to Loretta Lynch before the 2016 election. Corruption on both sides.

Seriously, why is RFK Jr worried about dyes in food when his department is cutting safety standards for milk and chicken?
April 25, 2025 at 10:55 AM
Yep
“They put poison in the food, it makes us sick.“

The reality here is so fucking boring that it doesn’t stick on anyone’s head. What “they” did was make food cheap and “ultra palatable” which is the fancy phrase for “very yummy.”

Thats it. A huge part of the problem is that food is too good.

RFK Jr’s comments about autistic people made a lot of folks feel like they had to list their accomplishments.

To prove the value of their life.

Your value doesn’t depend on being able to meet work requirements or write poetry.

It just is.

Don’t let these sick men make you question your worth.

Well, Missouri boy, Billy Long, just had his debt paid off by folks with business in front of the IRS. Wonder how they will fair with Long as head of that agency…

Trump IRS Pick Was Just Enriched By Tax Schemers
New documents show Billy Long’s $130,000 personal debt was suddenly paid off by donors at firms policed by the tax agency he’d lead.

In fact, it is offensively ridiculous to think that any but a handful of people disappeared by ICE will be able to file habeas corpus, because it relies on them having informed families with connections to available knowledgeable lawyers with time and resources to act instantly.

Imagine if New York said “we buy all these vegetable from Missouri but they don’t buy our semiconductors.” So NY decided to tax themselves 25% every time they bought a vegetable from Missouri. Now you understand the current tariffs.

The war on empathy from the right has been the most jarring aspect of today’s political landscape to me.
Several years ago, I read a local news story about social emotional learning (SEL) in school. A bunch of the comments were from local people opposed to children learning empathy and I couldn’t believe it.

Now I know it’s true. MAGA folks hate empathy. They think it is a weakness.

It’s pretty clear
If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

Am I understanding this correctly? They are saying they can just make people disappear and courts can do nothing because they say terrorism?

Good lord this is horrific.
“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”

Casar: You can quickly explain Doge with just two numbers.

First: $8 million a day. That’s how much Elon Musk collects in federal government contracts.

Second: $65 a day. That’s how much the average senior—someone who has worked their entire life—gets from Social Security.…
