Anyone here watching this World Series or do people just complain about Politics?

As @joesheehan.bsky.social noted, letting the lefty NYY bats beat a gassed Whitlock when there were multiple unused lefties in the pen was a failure.

I agree with Joe Sheehan’s thoughts too, even if I’m not him
I can't say I'm happy with @mlb.com's announcement that Pete Rose (and others) have been reinstated from the permanently ineligible list. I think @joesheehan.bsky.social sums up my thoughts pretty well from what he wrote several years ago: 1/3

Trump’s organization is out here selling Trump 2028 hats like the Constitution is just a suggestion.

Reminder: The 22nd Amendment exists. You can’t run for a third term.

I mean, he's not constitutionally eligible for the term he's currently serving on account of his treasonous attempt to overturn an election and 34 felony convictions, yet here we are.

In my 4-cat alarm test, this one hits #4 HARD.
- voting rights
- free elections
- civil liberties
- rule of law 🚨
President Trump did not rule out the possibility of seeking a third term in the White House, which is prohibited by the Constitution under the 22nd Amendment, saying in an exclusive interview with NBC News that there were methods for doing so and clarifying that he was “not joking.”
Trump won’t rule out seeking a third term in the White House, tells NBC News ‘there are methods’ for doing so
President Donald Trump said in a Sunday-morning phone call that he was “not joking” about a third term, adding that “it is far too early to think about it.”

I get it. The zone is flooded. Here's the filter to use to decide how alarmed to be: Does the latest crisis directly affect one of these categories?
- Voting rights 🚨
- Fair elections 🚨
- Civil liberties
- Rule of law 🚨

This is a 🚨🚨🚨 case. Buying votes is blatantly illegal and corrupt. Be alarmed.
If you think Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race doesn’t affect you just because you don’t live there—think again. If Musk pulls this off, it’s one step closer to him buying an election near you.

Got friends, family, or even followers in Wisconsin? Tell them to get out and vote the right way. 📢

Members of the Yemen Signal chat—including NatSec Advisor Michael Waltz and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles—left their Venmo accounts exposed, linking them to politicians, doctors, tailors, lobbyists, and each other.

Experts say it a digital op-sec disaster.

literally every day is going to provide more evidence that the "let's provide some votes for the least bad trump nominees out of respect for the presidency" was a boneheaded strategy. any idiot could have told senate democrats that any vote for any of these people was going to make them look bad.

Due process is the very complicated idea that your rights are not determined by the whims of guys like this
KARL: Do they have any due process at all?

HOMAN: Due process -- what was Laken Riley's due process?

There is no point in Senate Democrats voting to fund the government only to let Trump and Musk do whatever they see fit with those funds.

Dems should only vote for a continuing resolution if it stops DOGE pillaging and fully funds services.

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff
