Works like this. If you ping me with an URGENT THING, I will respond promptly. I may also ask for clarification. Your incredible slow response to these questions means it’s not an URGENT THING.

Things I do not want from someone in any sort of electronics store: words, eye contact, advice, or the occupation of physical space between me and the one thing I came in to buy

I am now thinking that all federal elected officials should be forbidden from having assistants grocery shop for them, cook them meals, drive them around, pay their utility bills, file insurance claims, etc. They are all out of touch with what the rest of us have to do each day.
The president is a person who would be unable to survive in this country if he had to live independently for a day. He wouldn't know what to do at a grocery store. Never mind applying for a job. What good is he to us

“The shutdown came on the heels of Volvo announcing layoffs affecting 5% of the plant’s workers, or roughly 125 people, and a global workforce reduction of 3,000 employees…The layoffs are part of nearly $2 billion in cost reductions Volvo is undertaking as tariffs have roiled global trade.”

The question isn’t whether people like my daughter have something to offer. It’s whether society is finally ready to stop measuring value with the wrong scale.

Autism doesn’t destroy families.

Ignorance does.

Isolation does.

Shame does.
An Open Letter to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Who Thinks My Daughter is a Tragedy
Dear Mr. RFK Jr., (The “dear” is tradition. Don’t mistake it for affection.) You said autistic children are a burden. That they ruin families. That...

We’re introducing a new layer of verification on Bluesky — a user-friendly, easily recognizable blue check.

In addition to account verification issued by Bluesky, we're also introducing Trusted Verifiers. Select independent organizations can verify accounts directly.

Why was there not another senator there to do the same thing as booker? They had at least 24 hrs to prepare.
Immediately afterward, Senator Risch brings up the confirmation of big toilet guy and former acting AG Matthew Whitaker to be ambassador to NATO.

In the next decade, I will either be made hopelessly obsolete for not having incorporated AI into my workflows or become a priceless jewel for being one of the few people whose critical thinking skills have not atrophied into brain mush
The most dangerous thing about AI chat bots is how many men with political power treat them *exactly* and unquestioningly like actual Ancient Greek oracles.

It me!
sometimes i think too many in this industry look at pricing as a mere inconvenience

if people can’t afford these prices they aren’t stretching

they’re just leaving

they’re keeping their old cars

they’re going used (and getting shit deals)

it’s a problem!!
during covid it wasn’t hard to get a subcompact-compact crossover for what would be like $400-500 a month.

Now those same crossovers are like 10k more expensive and interest rates are way higher so their payment has effectively doubled while their take home pay has remained unchanged

and it also has not, yet, broken in a way that fucks with the day to day life of most people

it will have to do so before they notice
