One of the reasons that 'right-wing ideology appropriates absolutely everything' is their quixotic desire to make inherently uncool ideas seem cool. They despise the cultural currency and cachet that a wide variety artists hold and are forever engaged in a futile quest to capture a modicum of cool.

An under-the-radar but huge story: in less than 2 weeks, Microsoft plans to end support for the Windows 10 operating system, which is currently used on 42% (!) of all PCs globally. Over 400 million computers will be vulnerable to hacks or destined for the dump if users don't pay up.

I just called Chuck Schumer’s office and, for the first time EVER, a person answered, who then politely entered my complaints into their call log.

This tells me two things:

1) They’re not getting enough calls over there, and 2) If you want to yell at Schumer, today’s the day.

This is one of the best ideas I've heard in ages.
Reddit post on r/technology about young people and AI: "I recently heard about a teacher who instead of trying to circumvent students using AI, which is impossible, she made assignments by going "ask ChatGPT to write a report on this subject, and then research how and why it's wrong". Not only did the students discover that ChatGPT is extremely wrong a lot of the time, it also lead them to realise that they should not use it as a primary source".
