It looks awfully like the government intends to raise the costs of care provision councils are legally required to organise, but fail to fully fund the increased costs. Which will mean voters again paying more in council tax for worse (non-care) local govt. Which will again encourage Reform voting.

Seeing folks confused about this, saying this person doesn't want to acknowledge the cognitive dissonance. But it is imperative that you understand that the core of Trumpism as an ideology is satisfying a seething, uncontrollable resentment. Nothing else matters. Not friends. Not family. Nothing.

The UK govt reveals massive investments in AI just as it's revealed that UK families are far poorer than those in other countries. A manifestation of politicians' propensity to fall for flashy bullshit that solves nothing vs the actual work of fixing systemic economic injustice.

A sad indictment of #lufc playoff record that the last 2 teams to beat us completely sank afterwards, (Derby in 2019 final, So'ton in entirety of 24/25). Them winning has just proven a waste of everyone's time. Derby especially were utter garbage managed by a clown.

The key to understanding this is to remember Trump’s support is not the working class, but the local aristocracy, the car dealership owners et al. who see themselves as Johnny Big Boy Business like Trump’s jmage.
