First appearance of the Luker Amendment at tonight’s planning board meeting! Our historical commission can apply a 21-month demo delay, but if the project will produce multi-family housing it’s reduced to 12 months.

I wrote something about our absurdly expensive proposed new high school, and how new multi-family housing development will help us pay for it.

We can lessen the proposed new high school project’s impact on Lexington taxpayers with this one weird trick.

Flags will remain at half-staff after Sept. 11. Here’s why

My janky, hand-me-down grill is too big and dirty to try fitting in the car so I’m wheeling it through the neighborhood to the temp rental house. The closer I get to the end the steeper it gets.

IMO simplest answer is that many people who advocate for IZ are either not thinking in an evidence based way or not motivated by Barbara's noble goals. That is backed up by evidence in Boston & many other places. Attitude towards IZ should be guided not by theory but by what happens on the ground.

I can’t believe they made all the other little child test dummies watch while this was happening. Monsters.
“Tesla’s driverless ‘robotaxis’ could launch in Austin as soon as June 22. But a demo in Austin today showed a $TSLA, manually driven to test its Full Self-Driving system, failed to stop for a child-sized dummy at a school bus—and hit it.”
