Environmental artist that would rather be tending the nursery
A Democratic government could sell tickets to the demolition of thia and make money off it
Congress should stop this.

Also, if Trump wants to enjoy an imitation of the Arc de Triomphe done in a style and at a place congenial to him, he can visit the Arch of Triumph in Pyongyang, completed in 1982.

Trump says construction of the ‘Triumphal Arch’ to begin in ‘2 months’
The monument would be a centerpiece of the White House’s plans for America’s 250th birthday.

This LA 311 app just keeps getting worse and worse. They changed the missed trash container pickup options and now it just fails and tells you to call the sanitation department. Like what is the point of having an app if I have to call it in anyway? @awalkerinla.bsky.social

They had Terminator 2 on at the pub and in 2025 it just sounds crazy that the mushroom cloud was a practical effect made with polyfill, plexiglass, and wires.

You can just celebrate the Solstice, an objective celestial event that happens for everyone on the planet throughout history regardless of belief system, using whatever performative activities you want.
I'm sorry, but this is the stupidest fucking talking point.

Guys, it's a holiday celebrating the birth of (from my perspective, and being blunter than I normally would given the context) a dead Jewish carpenter y'all somehow think is/was God incarnate

You can't make that non-religious, sorry.
Christmas is a non religious holiday. I stand by that.

Keeping home values high and building enough housing so that it is easy for young people to buy a house are mutually exclusive.
Trump: If we build more housing, the price of homes will go down, and homeowners will lose their wealth.

This reminds me of the sort of thing artists in Soviet Bloc countries would do to subvert the propaganda they were making for the regime.
My first thought when I see Donald Trump running away from a crowd while holding something of value?

Definitely the idea that he’s selflessly delivering it to someone else.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Koreans are living in the 21st century and we are just catching up. This bag of soup was in the refrigeration section and contained a whole fucking chicken stuffed with rice with a properly gelatinous stock.

Georgist Pope?
Pope Leo: “Creation is crying. But many powerful people do not hear this cry: the wealth of the earth is in the hands of a few, very few, increasingly concentrated – unjustly – in the hands of those who often do not want to hear the groaning of the earth and the poor.” www.vatican.va/content/leo-...

Which part was good and decent, selling weapons to both sides in the Iran/Iraq War destabilizing the Middle East, funneling that money to the Contras in Nicaragua and setting them up to run a narcostate destabilizing Central America, denying AIDS, or escalating the War on Drugs?
The presidency once served as a reminder of our common humanity. Ronald Reagan described its purpose as building "a nation composed of good and decent people."

Fuck this guy with rusty barb wire. He is fine with the deportations and raids. He is fine with the tariffs. He is fine with all the suffering Trump is causing. He is just mad some of it is effecting him and his buddies. I am glad he is mad at the regime but let's not pretend this anger is durable.

If this were the homicide rate, the heads of police chiefs would roll.
Earlier this year, the director of CalTrans presented this chart to members of the state Senate’s Transportation Committee, showing a dramatic rise in deaths on California's roads.

No lawmakers asked about the chart. Or what CalTrans was doing about it.

I told you all that the shifts in the recent special elections were going to spook the GOP in Indiana into not diluting their districts with a big gerrymander.
Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map.

This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026.

The vote failed big, 19/31.

The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!
