The diversity visa lottery is the closest thing to a "line" to immigrate to the US that exists. Yesterday Kristi Noem suspended it indefinitely.

Today ICE killed Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, an immigrant in Chicago who was shot during an enforcement operation. DHS' press release about his death focused on the agency's claim that ICE agents have seen a "1000% increase in assaults against them."

After her hearing at 26 Federal Plaza, a woman was detained and escorted toward the stairwell. Her husband, confused and in shock, was guided toward the exit. Minutes later, he broke down in the elevator. They entered together, but he left alone. This happens here daily. #ICE

Last week, ICE arrested a six-year-old Queens public school student at her family's scheduled check-in. This morning, she was deported along with her mother. One of her siblings remains in detention.

The cruelty of this federal administration knows no bounds.
